My current equipment:
Olympus OM-D E-M5; Olympus Stylus 1
After a major cleanup of my camera collection digital I still said two Olympus cameras.
By that I am well equipped.
The converter I've bought for Stylus 1.
At the stylus 1 with Adapter CLA 13 makes the converter amazing, 510mm at f 2.8 are already a house number and consistent with Excelent image quality.
But we must not forget the stylus 1 in the menu to adjust teleconverter.
The converter was but a matter of priority for the Olympus OM-D EM-5 and the Sigma 2.8 / 60 Zuiko 1.8 / 45 thought.
Then there have been the TCON 14B from my Olympus Big Mama E20N and have these tested at the two lenses with adapters.
The results were awesome, but weighs this part ca.515gr., It has an extension of 1.45 with a constant aperture.
He's just been 14 years but still with a top optical quality.
The same I of the new converter also expected and was not disappointed.
Now the extension factor of 1.7 is at a constant aperture and the greater factor was also important to me for the two lenses ..
This converter is almost equal in size, 1cm longer for 1 cm smaller in diameter, weighs only 280gr for. What was decisive for me, I had my doubts due to the weight of the TCON 14B to the light lenses so, although it has kept safe, but makes the cameras very difficult.
Back to do this is on the now much lighter lens construction.
The imaging performance of both lenses is top, you can see no loss of quality.
When you need an adapter Sigma 46-55mm and the 1.8 / 45 Zuiko 37-55mm an adapter.
Thus one obtains a sigma of 2.8 / 60 x 1.7 = 102 makes on a small screen 2.8 / 204
This yields a Zuiko 1.8 / 45 x 1.7 = 76.5 mm camera makes a 1.8 / 153
The converter works perfectly with the two lenses and the OM-D EM-5.
No impairment of the panel, everything remains so.
The AF works just continue as without converter since there are no losses.
According to my perception of the imaging performance at the Zuiko 1.8 / 45 (153 mm film) is a little better than the 1.8 / 75 from Olympus, especially since the bokeh of 1.8 / 45 is more pleasing.
Converter is supplied with a (leather?) Bag in which you can safely transport him.
- Unfortunately, no thread for filter or lens hood available.
* Using a lens hood, but you can very easily manage itself.
# Take a 58mm rubber lens hood, 3x adjustable.
# Plugged away the 58mm port ring, rubber bezel is only in the guide groove
# Now you push from behind starting the lens hood to the converter as far forward until it is seated
# Finish
From me, therefore, a strong buy recommendation, even if the converter is meant for other cameras.
