Design / Processing:
Here there is little to complain about. Everything is meticulously crafted, no sharp edges or improper connections. You should be kind in a high-price model but can also be expected. The toaster is almost completely held in a metallic look, which I think it is not a real metal, but only plastic with appropriate optics. The looks, but still good and classy, but has the disadvantage mandatory that you almost everywhere already leaving fingerprints when watching. In particular, the glossy cover on top is extremely sensitive in the way. The cleaning cloth should best leave right next to the device!
Handling:
There is a toaster, one can not speak of a highly complex equipment or service here. In addition to the control dial to adjust the tanning duration, there are buttons for one-sided toasting, eg. For sandwiches, toasts to thaw frozen, to re-warm-up already toasted slices and of course the usual emergency-stop button. To the extent not rocket science, and to the extent to be expected. It is gratifying that all very easy going of the hand and is easy to reach. Even the often stiff start lever engages the LINEO a completely effortless. Only that you can adjust the toasting time only when you press the start lever, was surprising to me that I knew so previously. In all my previous models to let the already vorregulieren without "juice". Is a change, but as you get used to it quickly.
As nice as the device can be operated up to this point, it is unfortunately not yet perfectly thought out. I use my toaster very common for warming rolls, whereby a good rest for me is very important. Here, however, the (removable) roll holder is not just put on, unfortunately it seems that way. The whole is only on top of the toaster on, is not held by magnets, yet it can be folded like my old Grundig model. This meant that I, when it was hectic in the morning, before the whole construct was accidentally torn. With regard to the rest of the design could have been solving really better. In general, this 2-piece design is rather inconvenient for me, because even if the article is also intended to act as a "breadbasket", I think that makes little sense. By coarse bracing to spread only crumbs in the apartment, which is why I constantly let the holder on the toaster.
Results:
As with many new purchases you have to first find their way here as well in order to achieve optimum results for itself. When I had initially taken my settings from the old toasters, me two rolls are equal burnt. Likewise, I've done it with the pre-Defrost function frozen slices of toast completely flabby and soft to "broil", instead of crunchy and crispy. Here I just lacked a bit the fine feeling for the correct configuration, but that was after a few days in the handle. Meanwhile bread + croissants are perfect, and even full-size standard toasts are browned really clean. Only for the larger sandwich toast seems the slot not to be deep enough to toast them completely can, but I could not due to lack of material to try to date.
Conclusion:
The WMF Toaster from LINEO series is a unique design model that will not be found anywhere because of its size, however, is very well made and his job, one has even properly set him out reliably. Only the top impractical loose a bit annoying and does not fit to the otherwise very high quality acting device.
