The question of what style the guys from P! ATD would represent on the new album was quickly resolved for me after I'd seen in Februr live. The rocky, partly playful sounds of "The Ballad of Mona Lisa", "Nearly Witches" and "Let's kill tonight" have given me exactly the right impression. And the craving for more. CD ordered, purely heard and enjoyed. Brendons voice is already incredibly pleasant to listen and versatile, and with the many genres that incorporate P! ATD here with (rock, pop, jazz, electronic elements, choral singing, acoustics ...), are the melodies in the Nothing to. All songs have a unique sound, similar to the debut album A Fever You Can not Sweat Out; even after repeated listening a fall repeatedly on details, the songs - can sound very harmonious and fully - and the board as a whole. My only concern from the very beginning were the texts, now that Ryan is no longer there. But I was pleasantly surprised. No longer as playful and abstract (though good) as the previous panels, this time in my opinion, more concrete, and still good. For all P! ATD fans a must, and also for anyone else who might like varied, like also danceable and definitely mitsingbare (top for the car!) Music roughly towards rock!
And another tip: Be sure to see live! So much stage presence, very energetic performance, and as Brendon "Northern Downpour" Acoustics has performs I'm just melted away ... Anyway, a great voice that sounds live much the same as on the CD. It's nice to know that the band that you love to hear, really what can and will not be pushed by recording and mastering techniques such as (unfortunately) way too many artists nowadays.
