I work professionally with FF cameras (EOS 5D Mk3 & Mk2) and L lenses. But when I'm traveling for personal reasons I do not want the weight, but rather quality. Therefore I have the EOS-M, so far with the kit lens 18-55, the 22 / 2.0 (great!) And from 4.5 to 6.3 / 55-200 (very good (very good!) - see my review appropriate). Now only missing the 4.0-5.6 / 11-22. And I'm delighted once again: to the usual good processing a very convincing picture quality joins starting open aperture that you can really use. The image stabilizer in wide-angle lenses is often considered redundant. I can not agree, because a certain amount of (non-) Verwacklungssicherheit is very pleasant, especially if you are traveling with the EOS-M and has no tripod at hand. The 11-22 is 2.8 / 16-35L superior image quality of the EF for FF cameras especially at the edges of the M! I've uploaded 3 image examples, all made with Aperture 5.6 to 8.0 (even full screen and in each case a section of the peripheral regions). Judge for yourself! My conclusion is clear: a great lens for the EOS-M at a more than reasonable price. I hope I could help in reaching decisions with my review.
