Claro Que Si (Audio CD)

Customer Review

YELLO 1981 were still a trio: Carlos Peron, the treading since "You Gotta Say Yes ..." (1982) solo paths, supported on this album yet Boris Blank and Dieter Meier. "Claro Que Si" is for me the most significant album Yello: The pop elements of later days have already seen in songs like "Daily Disco", but they are continuously enriched with surprising avant-garde sound effects and breaks. "Cuad El Habib" deflects towards world music, "She's Got A Gun" is defined very clearly the often cinematic character of the music of the Swiss. Also comes in this song Dieter Meier's penchant for telling small, Marlow esker (criminal) stories to light. Conclusion: "Claro Que Si" is a very varied album, which anticipates much of what YELLO has made successful later commercially. It already pointed to 1981, all facets and variations of the Swiss sound engineer.
