Since I have not been too long my PS3, I am so far rather lenient with restrained graphics. The of "FEAR 2" is not really bad, even in detail here and there nice. But overall average. Part a little spongy. Nevertheless, not disturbing, but just also underwhelming.
The controls are perfectly fine; who do not play his first shooter on a console will arrive quickly. The player's movements are a bit up and abwippend, whichever comes first, but not irritated particularly long.
Enemies, weapons and creepiness: The opponents are quite decent, both ordinary people as well, and especially the creatures of all stripes. Whether climbing and sprinting mutants or nasty nearly invisible enemy - the range is correct. For this purpose they behave acceptable-smart. I can not complain too about the armory myself: if pistol, submachine gun, assault, sniper or shotgun if rocket launcher or laser weapons [...], there are all sorts of things. Also four different types of grenades. The weapons look to reasonably well designed, not bombastic, but not too simple.
With regard to as ghost horror factor, I'm a bit ambivalent. Often you walk through slightly darker rooms where you can only see by using a decent flashlight what; this they are sometimes quite narrow and narrow, so it's a little claustrophobic-refreshing. Nevertheless, the atmosphere did not seem really to me. That might also have been because the game at one point or another is probably cut quite badly. I do not know how it's uncut, but here quite a bit missing. If opponents simply disappear mucksmäuschenstill, without knowing whether they are dead or only entrench, then the annoying a little. Or if they simply vanish into smoke. A game to censor so, although it is still 18, is not only annoying, but also a little silly, considering the scenario of "FEAR 2". Between severed heads that rotate in washing machines, or red colored video sequences ... So it's very absurd that dissolve enemies simply toneless. Oh well ...
Horror came (at least for me) not to, maybe here and there in the approach; but pleasantly depressing the setting is already.
Conclusion: "FEAR 2" is a solid shooter, but not outstanding. Average graphics and an average atmosphere, but neat to Geballere, as it should be for a shooter.
EDIT: Now that I have tried in the last days times the online mode and quite a bit to bring fun, I have my review of the original three increased to four star / equalized.
