Of course, a robotic vacuum cleaner can not remove the entire suction work, who the presents under it, is completely wrong. Corners he creates only conditionally, in narrow crevices between furniture he does not come and he climbs no walls high and exhausts as carpet strips. But he still makes daily suction work in large areas, so you just have to rework minimal.
I have tested the Vileda Relax, I've baptized Willi on different floor coverings, which he has mastered well different.
Willi has no dirt sensors at the bottom as some other Staubsaugerrobotor. He drives, depending on the program selected for a certain period rather uncoordinated in the landscape around, you can not really recognize a system - sometimes he rushes straight through space until it touches anything and turns, sometimes he drives spirals, sometimes on edges along.
Estimating the room size but correctly and selects the three stages which each matching program, it runs long enough to have reached and cleaned all areas. At the lowest level takes the cleaning for 5 minutes in the middle range for 30 minutes when you press the button with the three points 60 minutes. Ultimately, you have to look but at the end, if everything really is clean and possibly start another passage.
Smooth floors such as tile, stone, hardwood or laminate cleans Willi very good, moist wipe I have in the kitchen but discovered that a little bit of crumbs and pet hair but left behind. This can get over, however.
The cleaning performance on carpet, even on such a very low pile leaves in my opinion, however much to be desired. Exposed carpets with a slightly higher edge prepare Willi problems: The edge is not high enough, that he rumst against it and turns. But he does not run perfectly straight to it, he does not come over it, hangs up and turns through. I had to nudge so that it clears the hurdle, and drawn on the carpet next him. Which means that I have to stay there when he suck the living must and that's not really the point of it.
In the bedroom he did not manage to find out the narrow passage between the bed and wall back out. He joins there permanently between the wall and bed and turns virtually in a circle until I release him. Otherwise, he has no difficulty to handle both very large and very small rooms with the three-step program selection.
The cleaning of the Vileda Relax is cumbersome, the dirt trapping compartment is relatively small, the bristles of the brush underbody are difficult to clean. In addition, the entire underbody of Willi attracts extreme dust, here you really have to go over it twice with the Swiffer or a dust rag.
Above all, one should always make sure that the crash sensors are clean, then otherwise it may end badly for Willi of the stairs - an acoustic warning that he sees nothing there is not. If these sensors but clean, is not the slightest risk of falling.
I summarize:
+ Easy to transport
+ Charge everywhere, since no charging station, therefore easy to store
+ Cleaned sufficiently well on smooth floors in very large rooms, smaller in very good
+ Is quiet (though I do not want to watch TV at the same time)
+ Reasonable price (from 150 euros in the net, 199 euros at Vileda)
+ Absorbs well from when he comes up against walls or furniture
+ Recognizes landings perfectly
- Carrying handle for small fingers, crashing even when lifting (stable?)
- Clings to something higher carpet edges
- No longer comes out of smaller spaces
- Carpet Cleaning = unsatisfactory
- Battery life too short charging time for too long
- Dirt trap specialist very small, clean a bit awkward
- No warning signal in case of dirty sensors
Overall, must and can be of a vacuum cleaner robot in this price range do not expect as much like a Roomba the newer generations, which cost more than 400 euros, three times and more. The manufacturer advertises the Vileda Relax with "for everyday In between cleaning" - if I let incurred too much dirt and let it run daily, he does his service in a not too big Wohung quite and the price-performance is okay.
For homes with not too many, medium-sized rooms that are not very cluttered and have mainly over smooth floors Willi is certainly an asset. For home owners it is worth rather less, because the battery life is not good enough for it. Whether you not rather engages times for a quick Interim Cleaning broom and dustpan? Is cheaper and not much more effort - actually incurred for the basic vacuuming in a multi-person household with animals extends the capacity of the Vileda Relax from only a very limited extent. In that case I'd rather save some yet to buy a Roomba or similarly powerful device. With a lot of carpeting in the home, I advise from Vileda Relax.
To forgive star here is not easy, because the device class on the one hand for specific situations, on the other hand but then again is not at all suitable. That's why I stay with three stars out of 5 in the golden mean and recommend prospective buyers to review their own needs, spatial situation and expectations based on my experiences and assessments.
