1. In spontaneous photos that I shoot convenience with the automatic, the camera always selects a high ISO value. In rooms you will almost always use ISO6400, ISO1600 although would still go on the exposure time. Photos with ISO1600 but look much better.
2. The kit lens is so-so. I also own the Sony RX100, which only marginally makes worse photos in difficult lighting situations. I would imagine that the RX100 II then maybe catches up with the Alpha 7KB. The kit lens is just not very bright.
