A father so loved

A father so loved

The adopted father (Paperback)

Customer Review

In this autobiographical novel, Didier van Cauwelaert traces the life of this father so loved, now deceased. By shining the spotlight on this eccentric man, loving, protective, voluntary, driven by a phenomenal energy, the author highlights what gave birth and meaning to its own vocation as a writer. Early vocation he stroked from the age of seven and a half, drawing inspiration from the romantic family characters around him, in parallel lives when he invented his own it seemed to lack salt.

What is striking and unspeakably moves throughout this story, it is this relationship so strong and beautiful that unites the father and son. A relationship with the son of a woven trust, of love, of complicity and a mutual and absolute admiration.

Riddled with earthy anecdotes these pages, which, by the admission of the author, do not follow the other plane as the chain of emotions, makes a fitting tribute to one who remains, for his son, so alive aujourd 'hui yet. And which becomes for us in his writing.
