This is an exciting story about the management of Apple and its path towards innovation: do not respect the principles taught in business schools, no hierarchies but rather austere or management teams develop all their cut each of the other elements, without constraint other than to make the best product. The art Apple management is the integration of these subsystems to a global product. The book requires probably know a little of system engineering principles to understand the underlying logic, which is very rigorous. It raises the question very well the dependence of this style of management with respect to its leader and founder Steve Jobs. It will probably quickly if he survives it. The character of the leaders and the lives of its staff also well described: innovators are always a little paranoid with a difficult character, and life at Apple is austere even if we are well paid. It's full of exciting and reference for anyone interested in innovation and production. One complaint: it is mistranslated which makes reading sometimes confusing and needs to find the English sentences in French lame formulations.
