It was THE novel of my adolescence, I read and reread, who introduced me to the world of René Barjavel and given the desire to read his other novels that are exciting and great finesse. "The night of the times" is a beautiful love story, that of a couple caught up in the turmoil of war, still trying to defend to the end and happiness compromise. It is also a fable that allows us to reflect on issues still relevant as the clash of political blocs, stupidity and irresponsibility of man unable to manage an irrevocable fatal gear, leading him to his own destruction . Real subjects of philosophy. A beautiful book worthy of being made into a film by Steven Spielberg: it would be a much-deserved revenge since "time immemorial" was the scenario at the beginning of a film that was never born. What a pity !.
