Customer Review

It is probably mainly due to Jim Jarmusch, who used 3 pieces on this CD for the soundtrack of his film "Broken Flowers" that Mulatu Astatqé no longer needs to apply a top secret. The music on this CD, a fusion American Soul Jazzes, Latin, funk, and traditional Ethiopian influences earned just a larger audience. As soon as you the CD supplied to the player, draws a hypnotic groove already under his spell and not let go. A pleasantly warm and exhilarating atmosphere flows as from the boxes and carried by multiple wind instruments harmonious melody mantras rain abruptly to the production of endorphins. It is believed to put into a sort of trance and can not resist to have exposed here an acoustic drug the impression. A touch of Blaxploitation is spreading, wah guitar, bass and Hammond organ created a vibrant aura. The knock-on effect is enormous. And at the end of the CD, if the repeat button is inevitably forced to push, you guessed it: be this Mulatu Astatqé has a great magician.
