Good USB 3.0 Hub with restrictions

Looking for a USB 3.0 hub (subnotebook with a few ports) at a moderate price, I'm stuck with this device. Because I want to use hard drives in it and these are equipped with a Y-cable, I specifically wanted an active device, so one thing with power supply. So far, all this has also worked wonderfully. However, when I recently my USB 3 hard drive connect via Y-cable to the hub and then the hub cable to the notebook port, the hard drive is running, unfortunately, have been plugged in Hub Power Supply in but shows the typical sounds of "too little power". This is of course exactly my purpose over and unfortunately I do not know if it the hub to USB 3 general (zickt already much rum) or is located on the hard drive. It came so far but only once before ...

Otherwise the device is nice but small and does its job properly and without driver issues (Windows 7 / 64bit).
