The Glass Arrow (Hardcover)

Customer Review

I "the Glass Arrow" read last month, but did still not know how to write an appropriate feedback. the Glass Arrow is, indeed, unusual book. Anyway, I've never read a book before, in which it is subject, as society women enslaved. And since we are already talking about the subject. In "The Glass Arrow" rule the men of the world, while the women are just slaves and breeding machine, if it is ever good enough. If not, they are forced to work as prostitutes. Women, or in this case, young girls will be auctioned in auctions, they have no rights and are of small to trim out that the only thing for it is to live, to satisfy a man. Our protagonist Aya is not grown up in a city, but in the wilderness. Her mother then fled the city after she was stigmatized and has her life spent Aya and a few other people away from the cities. Of course Aya lands in one of the cities and is sent to a type school where they will be prepared for sale. Aya will of course not as a property, they had all their lives freely and goes beyond any mental potential limit to this freedom to return.

What "the Glass Arrow" for me so special is made, it is not about to save / to change the world. There is no major war or showdown that will change the fate of millions mensché as in 99% of Dystopia books. It is not about the old review "good versus evil", but simply a girl who wants to go home.
