Well, the album begins again with a little spectacular instrumental intro. But already the title track bangs neatly. The keyboard parts are in my opinion not cheesy, but fit wonderfully and develop a great atmosphere. "Sword Chant", "Slayer Of Light" and "Into Battle" are just such firecrackers. "Tale Of Revenge", "Lost In Despair" and "Lai Lai Hei" are rather quiet and anthemic and "Tears" a wonderful ballad at the end. "Mourning Heart" would in my opinion need not be, but the overall impression does not weaken this instrumental piece anyway.
Ensiferum bring on "Iron" once again wonderfully energetic Metal, wonderfully melodic and still rocking as ever. The sluggish, quiet pieces are here in contrast to the debut is still very powerful and pull up unnecessarily in the length, which gets a plus point from me.
It is truly a shame that Jari adopted for "Iron" and much as I like Wintersun, Ensiferum in he would have been still better off. But let's see how his successor will make ...
