OK, "Hard Knock Life" was successful, and "Roc-La-Familia" is new. However, I would advise anyone who wants to set a Jay-Z album, "Life And Times Of S.Carter" recommend. Why? Because this is Jigga's best album! A mere glance at the guest list makes the heart of rap and soul fans beat faster: DJ Premier, Missy Elliott, Juvenile, UGK, Mariah Carey ... just to name a few. The various tracks differ from each other as chalk and cheese - there is on the one hand Party Burna as "Do It Again", whose chorus you just have to sing along. On the other hand, there are songs like "Dope Man" who have a devotional to terrifying effect on the listener. The genre-typical gangsta and ghetto-rape may of course not be missed and are great with the tracks "It's Hot", "ny" and "So Ghetto" represented. So much for the traditional part, as one would expect from Jay-Z ... Of course Jigga is also known for its innovative work, and that swarm on this album. In "Big Pimpin '", he experiments, for example with oriental sounding beats, while songs like "Snoopy Track" or "Is That Yo Bitch" seem to come directly from the future. The latter includes aggressive beats and an absolute explosion of incredibly fast rape by Twista, Busta Rhymes who even could compete with his speed. Another highlight should still "Pop 4 Roc" mention, which is performed by the entire Roc A Fella crew and a super casual Groove good mood. This album represents the culmination of the career of a man who once revolutionized the rap music. His latest concoction "The Dynasty" is clearly worse (both in terms of skills, and the instrumentals).
