The Sony 24-105 zoom, so far at the Sony Alpha 100 with decent performance in use, revealed glaring weaknesses at the Alpha 900, especially at longer focal lengths. Except for the weight (and price) I can only attest to the Zeiss 24-70m top marks! Convince already at full aperture me the image results despite high claims!

Addendum to recession almost 4 years later ...
Unfortunately, the mechanical quality of the Sony Zeiss SSM lenses seem very time (extreme?) Restricted to work ... or I'm just too robust regarding my claims against the new Sony specifications! First is my Sony Zeiss 16-35 2.8 ZA of the furniture fell down (OK OK to blame, Photo backpack was open -! Total loss - from 60 cm to the carpet repair costs in factory price region -.
