While the songwriting at Riot actually has never reason for criticism, the Americans take on their new album with every song into the black. The band travels here in every respect a balanced mix of fast-paced Heavy or Power Metal American-style and grooving and rocking the stadium rammers format. Technically makes the mens Riot anyway not what before and especially fans sprawling guitar work may be even more pleased guitars of men Mike Flyntz and Nick Lee over the equally brilliant as melodic (Lead) - great!
The most important change to "Unleash The Fire" is of course singer Todd Michael Hall, who has already toured with Riot and now works in the studio with the band. Vocally the man is beyond doubt and is strongly reminiscent of Tony Moore - better it would have the men can not hit, after all, Sang Mr. Moore among others the super-album "Thundersteel" a. Quite as iconic as said plate is "Unleash The Fire" of course not, but to urge comparisons with the milestone 1988 formally.
The only criticism is to be found in the sound of "Unleash The Fire": The fall bone dry and unfortunately nigh sterile from what the atmosphere of the album is not really good for you. Of course, the precise highly staccato riffing of the guitar fraction is so perfectly brought to the fore, the allerings Dargebotene acts as well as plenty of artificial. The great songwriting does not diminish, but a more organic sound erdigerer and the board would have done certainly good.
Nevertheless, "Unleash The Fire" every fan real Metals is thoroughly recommended!
