Ego Trippin '(Audio CD)

Customer Review

West Coast legend Snoop Dogg is back. His first two albums "Doggystyle and" Tha Dogg Father "were Classics, after that Snoops sound slightly changed towards Down South under the influence of Master P's label No Limit Records and from" Paid the coast to be the boss "of 2002 went there at times Snoop mountain to mountain and off while. "R & G: The Masterpiece" was a complete disaster, he again recorded with "The Blue Carpet Treatment a small upturn. Would there be now clarified the question in what direction Snoops new album "Ego Trippin" go, which was originally planned the album title accordingly without guest appearances, this was however broken by Snoop to meet with Too Short, Mistah FAB, Raphael Saadig and Charlie Wilson but you almost a handful of guests on the LP. For the productions on "Ego Trippin" showed, inter alia, DJ Quik, Shawty Redd, Scoop Da Ville, Riley Tedd and the Neptunes responsible. The first single "Sexual Eruption" (in the censored version Sensual Seduction) splits the listener, for a an innovative fresh party track, for others like me a culture shock - Snoop sings 80% of the song and here singer will also like RnB T -Pain the electrical swozzle used in T-Pain does that sound so cool and it suits him but with Snoop?!?! "Ego Trippin" comes to be very varied, therefore, that is ever a cornerstone for a good album, but it is all of no if the quality of the songs is wrong and here convinced not every song. With "Life of da Party" with Too Short and Mistah FAB Snoop gives us a Hyphy track from which can be heard very well. "Staxx in my jeans" with gescrewten Hook and "Ridin in my chevy" sound through their harder Beatz some Down South Style moderately and the second single "Never have 2 worry" with a clap beat and something vocals sound in contrast, already much more relaxed , In "Cool" to Snoop restores itself a leg with vocals and a funky 70s Disco beat that matches zero to it and is a total failure, just like "My Medicine" is a tribute song to country legend Johnny Cash, as a full roar Country you get here and Snoop also tried his singing skills. The track "Set Up" carries clear handwriting of the Neptunes, which is apparent in the baseline and Pharell's whining. Snoop but also offers us surprising some very chilled out songs like "SD is out" with a snap beat and shaking bass, "Thoze Gurlz", "One Chance", "Why did you miss me" and the brilliant closing track "Can not say goodbye "with a towering Charlie Wilson and a beautiful piano melody. Total has become better than I have "Sexual Eruption" expected after the single, but Snoop has yet to his songs in terms of production and raptechnisch no longer the fire and ferocity as before, "Ego Trippin".
