Pennies in the Jar Karma (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Salem Hill set with "pennies in the jar Karma" her now before eighth studio album. After gitarrenorientiert- varied "Be" and the Long Track Album "Mimi's Magic Moment" returns the band back on track its reference album "Robbery of Murder": Traceable midtempo rhythms, catchy melodies, pleasing piano accompaniment, harmonic soundscapes, unobtrusive guitar runs and polyphonic background vocals behind the warm lead vocal of bandleader Carl Groves who occasionally helps out in the way the colleagues of glass hammer on the mic. Instead Kansas violinist David Ragsdale's time cellist Jeff Malash a guest appearance on two songs.

"Pennies in the Karma Jar" tilled the musical field experienced and highly professional. Only a song exceeds ten minute mark, the others are much shorter. "Carry me" opens the album catchy - significantly more pop than its predecessor. In "Storm Clouds in Wonderland" for loosening is times rocked. "This scoundrel" may fall one minute too long. "Why did you make me" ends in drum thunder, and "Glimpses" closes the album as a crowning Bombast- anthem. The production is sound again properly. The lyrics broach this time more spiritual content, which is not everyone's thing may. Musically there is really nothing you can dislike about the feathery melodic bliss of the album. Just I would sometimes like to see a few more exciting musical outbursts. "Mimi's Magic Moment" was just few degrees more complex - for me to elevate their album.

In the overall analysis, there are four stars from me. Fans of Unitopia and Neal Morse can strike without hesitation.
