Switchfoot as its best!

Switchfoot have the rare gift of always music at the highest level - musically, lyrically, as well as a complete package - bring out. Fading West is no exception. Quick notice that they have taken this time more electronic influences. But honestly: who surprised the by the musical development of the last albums and a successful and highly successful "Vice-reversible" Remix EP !?
Almost entirely missing the rough rock songs that have been the hallmark of Switchfoot. But even I as a major rock fan do not see it as bad.
The album presents the untroubled side of the band. It is not difficult to imagine that these guys surf regularly on California beaches. Since then, they have their own club, they can take it regularly time.
Critical voices shed that on the quiet West Fading songs missing. I do not want to speak again. A ballad more would surely have done well. But I would point out that this (see below) are included on the EP.
My advice: Look at the eponymous documentary about the band! Herein report the band members in detail about her life on tour, their own recording studio, their social projects as a surfer contest and projects for children living on the street ("Black Horses"), and many more. , There are interesting and quite stunning shots of all the places on the globe, where they had been and the whole thing is of course accompanied with their own music.

* Update *: It is now (as of 09/09/14) the EP "The Edge of the Earth" was published, which "Fading West" perfect rounds and 7 offers new tracks that were heard in the documentation. She is very versatile and highly recommended!
