I had already written to my recession on A7R that I did not particularly appreciate the specific lens range for the A7 / A7R. But who is looking for a lens that leads to very good results in most cases and in relation to the camera adjusts to the size and weight, is well advised with the 55mm Zeiss. Of course you have at slower shutter speeds (below 1/60) to be careful without a tripod, this is true but for all other lenses in the A7R just because that's the downside of the 36MB pixel Mount St: smallest movements have an immediate effect on the image quality, since makes the 55mm unfortunately no exception.
Those looking for true professional quality and the wherewithal (approximately 3,500) has found in Zeiss Otus 1.4 / 55mm an optimal solution for A7R. The Otus is associated with the unique image resolution of A7R probably best combination in 35mm small picture / full size range and is thus really only with medium format cameras comparable. All others (like me) will be very happy also with the 1.8 / 55mm.
