I agree with my prescribing only, "Battle Born" has fallen significantly too pop. Mainstreaming The Killers were in principle always, but earlier, at least much more rock, because Guitar Driven. One to two quiet songs tolerate each Killers album, on "Battle Born" no longer fits the dosage. I had completely different expectations from the album. I am also a fan of the first hour and "Hot Fuss" and especially "Sam's Town" are among my personal best albums of all time. Even "Day & Age" I was only mediocre, 'to mention Flowers solo project entirely. I did not expect that his Soloweg will now be continued with The Killers. Pity!
With numerous Hördurchgängen but it is getting better and you can see one way or another throwback to the good old times. Still, it never goes beyond a "goes so" out. I set myself and would say that The Killers the class of "Sam's Town" will probably never achieve more. Let myself be happy to disabuse, but the band is in my estimation about their zenith addition.
Three Star (= not bad) I would find too much, so I forgive two. In fact, the album is 2.5 out of 5 stars.
