Throwback to its predecessor

+ Power

Clearly a plus point, what can I say at the data differently? The GeForce860M brings a lot of power. The SSD works very fast. Since not there to complain about it.

+ Weight

For me still ok, the 2.4kg you can still easily take every day in the backpack to school.

+ Battery
In the balanced mode at medium brightness to get in office mode with internet research to 3.5 4h. If you switch the wireless off and goes with the brightness down a bit to get to about 5 hours, sufficient for me, this is a plus point.

+/- Keyboard

Very good tactile feedback, short slinger: perfect for me, very pleasant to touch, it would not decrease and "squeak" to when you type a little faster.

+/- Processing

Basically not bad, feels very valuable, however, the gaps do not quite fit and the mousepad is noticeably wrong installed (to the left towards deeper). The operation I am but got along well (but of course are much better).

- Wi-Fi

A wall to the router ok everyone is even further too much, wireless reception is still there, but the transmission breaks up under 0,3Mbit together. This may of 0815 Compaq Laptop my girlfriend a lot better. 4 walls between the router and laptop, no problem for the cheap Compaq.
Solution to this would involve a Micro USB WLAN Stick, also works a little better (eg Edimax) and for me would still have been no cause to enter or return to send the laptop only two stars.

- Display

At first glance, the display looks so good, you then however Word open or not sitting right in front of the screen you can see that it is not evenly illuminated. Comparing the left edge of the display to the right, you can see here a clear difference in brightness in white background.

The laptop thus declined and its predecessor, the Acer V5 with i7, GeForce850M and 256GB SSD was appointed.
Performance-wise, it can of course not quite keep up with the V7, but due to the much better display, the functioning (!) WLANs and finally the longer battery life, I chose the former model.
Pity about the V7, apparently there are also a few models with good display, but you have to have a lot of patience - in the complaint.

Maybe you can see on the (bad) mobile photos the difference between the displays V5 (left) and VN7 (right).
