- Johnny B. Goode comes unfortunately angehumpelt with the handbrake on and a broken leg in this cover. Elton's legendary rock and roll piano certainly could still bring some out. But then the piece with more than eight minutes draws a little like an old chewing gum.
- Thunder In The Night starts promising, but Elton is partly his head voice nearing a falsetto. Unfortunately, a solitary highlight in rippling piece.
- Victim Of Love could possibly even pull one on a dance floor. However, would not even hardcore fans admit here that the DA is Elton.
The other songs sound like disco. More there is about to be said. Point.
In general, this album is, as already mentioned in the other review, just for completists. Elton and black music - because it is with its Seventies songs that love to move from time to time in the blues, also in the Soul range, better served. Would not the name "Elton John" is the only on the cover, you could "Victim Of Love" as to see what it is: as a project, as a test of whether what might be. The answer is no.
Oh yes, there's a third star for Elton's picture on the back cover. Has the man outrageously long lashes!
