Otherwise, I am surprised at the many nonsense which is here to read as follows: Win7 is essentially a completely new development - and it shows the system also. Apart from the mentioned lack it is fantastically stable, lean and fast. No comparison with XP Pro or even with Vista. In less intensively used computers (eg my notebook) running Windows 7 excellent. Example: when I close all applications after days of operation of the computer without rebooting and constant starting and stopping of applications, the used memory is returned to the value after the restart. Attentive Win-XP users to know that this is not self-evident. - My between temporal interest in Apple computers is certainly extinguished with Win7 again (although I recognize that Apple computers are really good). The partially here to read compared with Linux ... sorry, because not a dry eye ... I have since 1999 - primarily motivated by Windows stability issues - participated all Linux desktop versions and was until recently the exclusive users of Linux servers - but with all due respect: he who sees plane at eye level Windows and Linux on demanding user (desktop), should stay away from the stuff that he has smoked since ;-) Leaving aside all that Eclipse, Gimp and OpenOffice - for all their love - (yet?) but not at the level of Microsoft products.
