When evaluating the image quality and the other characteristics of the camera size, price and intended purpose should be kept in view. I am a normal user and photograph mainly children playing and rampaging dogs, so I attach particular importance to rapid continuous shooting. In holiday and landscape images are then asked.
Positive Qualities:
++ Very good image quality in bright light
++ Image stabilization does its work well, so that sharp photos at full zoom out of the hand are possible.
++ Quality workmanship and nice feel of the camera
++ Possible Given enough light, very beautiful series images
++ Very many settings (also manuel) and scene programs that can significantly improve the image quality compared to the auto mode.
++ Including separate charger, because it can have a spare battery to be charged and the camera will meanwhile continue to be used.
++ Good and comparatively speedy AF
++ Good flash range in living rooms
++ Long battery life. For safety, I recommend a second battery, which gives it cheap to buy as a replica.
++ Display when playing very brilliant. Under bright light, easy to read.
++ Touchscreen is working properly and responds well and accurately to inputs.
Zoom ++ runs smoothly and easily dosed through entire zoom range.
Neutral:
+ - Switch can be made to the first photo, 4sec about 2sec.. up camera completely booted. The time from photo to photo ca.2sec. the class average. To process sequential shots it takes then, despite a 8Gb Transcend Class 10 before its time can be made to the next photo. Average.
+ - In the twilight to take noise and blurring. Also continuous shooting then increasingly blurred. But that fight probably most cameras in this segment and this price category.
+ - Intelligent Auto Mode provides useful results, but when shooting indoors shake with the increase of the ISO value is counteracted and so the images are a bit muddy.
+ - Complete user only on CD. Some functions have not opened up to me at once and so a look at the Manual was required.
+ - Camera needs whether the diverse features an introductory period and the operation has not always been self-explanatory to me. With practice it is very good.
+ - In low light conditions the display will respond a bit tough and the presentation is very crudely. Regarding the scene but perfectly adequate.
Bad qualities:
- The lens shades cover the flash so that it comes to shading on the left bottom of the screen, at least when the subject to be photographed is fairly close to the lens. That is probably design reasons. I can live with but I really did not want a camera that has a retractable flash.
- You can only set a fixed ISO value or leave the choice of automatic, but do not specify an ISO range or maximum value. Others can do better cameras.
Conclusion:
Camera takes very nice pictures in good and moderate light. In the dim light just fighting the automatic increases uncertainty and combines high ISO values caused muddy images. Very good burst results. Quality appearance. Comprehensive equipment that is easy to operate with a little practice. The Blitzabschattung and penchant for high ISO values of Auto, the only real criticisms. The cameras I tested were in the diffuse light also no better and all scene programs I have not even tried. Perhaps there is even an increase in it.
For this class of camera, and at this price the TZ22 mM is worth to a strong buy recommendation. For me as a normal user it is certainly a lot more than let many tests and reviews suggest better. She needs a little getting used but then the results are impressive and they need not fear the competition. Panacea is the TZ22 terrible.
