The Dock of the Bay (180g Edition) [Vinyl] (Vinyl)

Customer Review

Since no one has rated the vinyl, I will do that for other interested parties happy.

The Dock of the Bay - at least since Top Gun almost a household :) ... my CD was recently unfortunately the ghost and I now extremely happy to lay my records, I ordered the vinyl.

Lately there have been some bitter disappointments, especially in reissues. Here, finally, not again. The plate has virtually no runout, the labels are glued neat, clean and centered the board feels dibasic. Release agent residues I could not recognize.

The sound is exceptionally well for the age of the recording. The stereo effect is classic / distributed right left, which usually is common when shooting, which were originally made in mono. I find it not unpleasant and sometimes come off even the instruments. Only the sound of the sea at Dock of the Bay appear to be purely played me more into song, as yet in the original recording.

Conclusion: who always come home at night and relax exactly this disc was about to hang, but the original vinyl from the 60s can not afford or wants, does nothing wrong here.
