Operation: Mindcrime (Audio CD)

Customer Review

In 1988 Operation: Mindcrime by Queensryche and turned the music world upside down. A continuous political lyrical concept with light George Orwell bonds, very melodic songs that have been increasingly replaced by radio play sequences and harder tracks, a total playing time of 60 minutes without a hangover: Characteristic of Queensryche was and is of very high varied vocals of Geoff Tate, the Twin Guitars by Chris de Garmo (no longer there) and Michael Wilton and the differentiated, powerful drumming of Scott Rockfield. These exceptional musicians from Saddle paired with a good concept and excellent songs (Breaking the Silence, Eyes of a Stranger, and especially the twelve-minute highlight Suite Sister Mary) plus the clear, transparent production of Peter Collins gave more than ten years ago a classic demanding Heavy Metals. Even today, absolutely heard, the board "stood Definitely the test of time". If in any collection with progressive rock / metal missing. Oh yes, one more thing to Style: The always moved in Queensryche between Iron Maiden (initially), but later up to Pink Floyd and Rush. Operation: Mindcrime has something of a long, exciting soundtrack. You can close your eyes and imagine a film to this plate. Overall one of the best heavy metal albums of all time. Perfect!
