Stratosfear (Audio CD)

Customer Review

As soon as I saw the cover of this disk (especially when right Schjallplatte) was clear to me, this part has to be something special. While listening I was not disappointed. Again and again I am amazed at how sophisticated and well thought out electronic music might sound already in 1976. Comparisons with Kraftwerk are not really appropriate, but I find that, although a completely different concept was followed, sound pretty wobbly and imprecise as the "radioactivity" or even the sequencer to the "Trans Europe Express" compared to this LP. On "Stratosfear" Moog is processed in conjunction with sequencer, flutes and other sounds to create a unique composition. Although I the "Ricochet" personally find even better, TD have achieved together with "Force Majeure" with the LP "Stratosfear" the highest degree of precision, creativity and expressiveness of what was possible at the time (and then unfortunately in this form ever again was practiced). Although the panel is to listen homogeneous, particularly the pieces 3 and 4 are recommended, the last with its tension is a worthy conclusion for this masterpiece.
