The Schedule is beautifully decorated, the supplied material is extensive and stable (pawns and raw blocks of wood, food flakes and starting player figure sturdy cardboard, Zivisationskarten, tableaux for each player, and 7 cubes together dice cup from leather; to plastic bags to come for keeping the individual objects). By well-structured and easy to understand game instructions can be quickly entered the game.
The game itself is spacious and linear. Each round is divided into 3 phases (use your own people; execute related actions; own people feed), which - as my Vorrezensent already wrote, very reminiscent of a mixture of Pillars of the Earth, Ysphahan, St. Petersburg and Agricola. No player must be bored, while another train is on.
Stone Age is for two equally attractive as four; Couple possibly a trace tactical, as with specific rules for the game for two (or even three of us then) certain blockades against the players get more used.
I was disappointed, however, about the fact that a non-sufficient number of raw materials is the game available. So is listed in the Instructions, "... with other materials (eg matches) ..." to manage if a raw material should be based. This happened to us several times in the game four. Here one would more prefer to provide enough material for pennies.
Also to be negative, I feel that the cover because of the large capacity of the material - does not close properly - especially the dice cup. Here a larger cardboard would have been better.
Conclusion:
Stone Age has given me / we loved right away. The game is balanced, for children very playable both for adults. The material has been carefully designed and stable. Despite the above-mentioned "shortcomings" There are of me 5 stars.
For the exact match content and procedure, I refer to the relevant pages on the Internet. The game manual is also available online.
