Psyence Fiction (Audio CD)

Customer Review

Unkle, that's DJ Shadow and James Lavelle as us Mike D (Beastie Boys) vorrapt in "The Knock". In addition there are some exquisite guest - the best known are: Thom Yorke (Radiohead), Richard Ashcroft (The Verve) and even Mike D - and ready is the best to me common TripHop disc. True, they are not really any time TripHop as some colleagues from Bristol (we are not talking of Tricky), but perhaps is exactly the decisive point that makes as strong album. Portishead are also very good, but they seem now and then a little concentrated in their stylistic scheme. Not so Unkle. "Psyence Fiction" is full of variety, which, clearly, is also due to the many guest musicians. However, a song on this record, that's definitely TripHop. Namely "Lonely Soul" with The Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft. This song is the trip-hop song ever, the trip-hop anthem and Symphony.
Oh, so I do not Forget: If you someday what to see and hear from Unkle TV should merely not change, it could be the clip to be sung by Yorke "Rabbit In Your Headlights". A better music video is not known to me.
