After I heard the first songs of 'Rebel heart', I was so obsessed with Madonna's music that I had heard the old albums. And what can I say? She caught me full 30 years after their first album. Safe can be here and there an album listen lighter than elsewhere, which, however, can not be avoided in a discography that bandwidth. Optimally, it is certainly not to listen to albums only in retrospect out, can be because of my age but already unavoidable. Thus, I started with the first album and a better entry could not exist. Madonna herself criticized well the quality of the songs that they einschätzte probably higher when successor. This I can not understand at all. Lyrical masterpieces and socially critical hymns One looks in vain though, it makes the typical disco sound of the early 80's so much fun, without, however, to sound stale. A highlight is difficult to make out the 8 Tracks (10 in the remastered version) are all of a kind, catchy and danceable earwigs. Not for nothing 5 singles were released. The biggest hit 'Holiday' is then, who would have been for me personally the most waiver. Most prominent is probably Madonna's first ballad 'Borderline', a melancholy but no less catchy track, which is loosely classified in the top 20 of the best Madonna songs. Surrounded by the two boards 'Lucky Star' and 'Burning up' he does just as well as the self-conscious 'I know it', my secret favorite on this board. Conclusion: definitely suitable as an introduction for fans of danceable Madonna of the 2000s. An album that is still far from all is "to hit trimmed" songs and that's just voices only as a complete work.
