What fascinates me about Morrowind, is that you have the absolute freedom to explore everything. There are hundreds of quests and locations to explore, all connected by a really beautiful landscape. The main quest is indeed a common thread, but you have not addressed in order to have fun. It is even so that you do not get after releasing the main quest a guy shown but the world is just a little more friendly and you can continue to explore what it so everything is.
I have tried with my multiple passes also different character classes and created myself and discovered the different advantages and disadvantages and how to handle it. The magic is made up of interest, the possibility of artifacts with magic bound to produce awesome. Discussions with many, many NPCs are fun and well worth it from time to time to address the people on the latest gossip or a tip, because you learn a lot of useful things or simply learn only about the history of the country, which contributes to the ambience ,
Comparable in complexity and the freedom to move is really just Gothic, a German RPG, but Morrowind is far greater. One should not go anywhere really, if you want to get from one place to another quickly. On the other hand, in contrast to most other games not that between site A and site B is simply bare land, but there are to be found everywhere something to discover, to collect, to conquer, to free, to enjoy. Therefore worthwhile just for people who love to do role playing in order to discover a world that walks between the villages because you can experience as much.
The successor, Oblivion, provides an even better graphics (although Morrowind still be proud), but is not as huge as Morrowind.
