Of course, "Some Girls" is no "typical" -Stones plate; "Black & Blue", the brilliant predecessor, was one such -
but even today it has hardly anyone noticed - you just stated the comercial failure to which the
Stones had to react and answer at the same time on the disco sound (Mick's path) and the punk (Keith`
Way) kreirten that is unparalleled. "Wait a minute" - calls us to this record - "We, the Stones have that
Rebelliousness and the musical hardness invented (along with the Kinks and the Who), - your merit is that?
The fact that we do not laugh !!! "And from ging`s ... A not at all, but for the most successful songs makeover that
catapulted the band to the amount of time. "Some Girls" is for me the last real Stones record that is worth listening to; I
agree, "Emotional Rescue", although about 90 percent of the same sessions in the Marconi Studios, Paris
1977/78 arise as "Some Girls" is a really bad plate (incomprehensibly but successful)
But what comes after that for? Only the remnants sampler "Tatto You" is still worth listening to; everything is bad later,
uninspired, hackneyed music that did not need the world ... (no, sorry, I do not need that
uncritical All-collector may enjoy hollow discs like "Voodoo Lounge", when `s Order funny want so ...)
The legal problems with regard to the plaintiff, who found themselves on the cover, probably still exist, so that one only -
probably because of the "less dangerous" because smaller edition of Bill Wyman's book "Rolling Stones - Story" an exception risked
because there you will find the uncensored, original LP cover (random?) exactly in the CD booklet size.
Many bonus tracks would have been next to "Everything Is Turning To Cold" possible, starting with "Claudine" on "Stuck In The Cold", "You Left Me", "I Think I'm Going Mad", the other two,
by Keith sung title: "We Had It All" and "I Need You" to the (shorter) single versions of "Miss You" and "Shattered" to the (longer) dance mix of "Miss You" - Respectable was probably coupled to Mick's request as a single, so Bianca Jagger is also safe listening on the radio and
thoroughly annoyed about it, to be known as someone who is on the
Lets get laid lawn of the White House ...
