Customer Review

Had Andy Partridge never get his stage Koller - then more people would certainly come behind that Partridge, Moulding and Gregory one of the best pop bands were as XTC in the 80s at all. So Celt after the three "English Settlement", excluding the live audience in the studio and created more than "Dukes Of Stratosphear" their own version of the melodic, colorful 60s.
Between the two Dukes LPs appeared a plate whose green cover of the shepherd god Pan showed and their songs, if they had not much to do with Pan, the god had inspired definitely flute and exultation.
Overwhelming string arrangements as in "1000 Umbrellas", the Jazz Odyssey "The Man Who Sailed Around His Soul", which emphasizes pop, hemdsärmlige "Earn Enough For Us", the sumptuous, but restrained "Grass", which in the dance of " Summer's Cauldron "passes; then again the minimalist "Dying", the wild jumping "Sacrificial Bonfire" or apparently from a star coming "Another Satellite" - songs that remain due to the magnificent vocal arrangements and of such diverse instrumentation in memory and let gush the associations easily.
A melody cornucopia, a buffet full of exquisite musical appetizers, a feast for the senses, which is Skylarking - a plate for each season, an absolute gem and a source of joy for every music lover. Five stars is sufficient to assess not in the least, and even five more would give not the back, which means this album for some of us.
