In the first step I bought a Raspberry Pi was that connected to my TV directly via USB. Play full HD material was no problem, just the speed at a large XBMC database.
Following a NAS followed whatever HDMI Out was able to produce, it is a Asustor finally become, which I can fully recommend. Full-HD material played this without problems and with more than 23FPS. The NAS is soft but in the future in the basement and then was no longer suitable.
Then I experimented a little with small computers with Atom processor combined with NVIDIA ION 2, also here the atom in a large database was simply overloaded. Test way then an Intel I5 NUC was ordered with a SSD equipped and installed XBMC again. Good thing the NUC was clean and stable, only the price was just too high for a playback client.
After a few months of use, I became aware of the Orbsmart S82 and thought which you have to test times. So ordered, 2 days later, he was already there. Delivered with the latest firmware and current XBMC.
Device whow infected within a few seconds Android was loaded .... similarly the NUC's with SSD with Windows and XBMC.
Read database and Full HD movies alluded everything error free no problems nothing. Even the CPU load was amazing 40% and the GPU load in this level, so there is still room for improvement.
After I turned on the CEC function and could thus use the remote control of Samsung TV's also my Orbsmart and XBMC. Prima class, and at Raspberry ....
Off the device can be enhanced with the use also with the TV. Some find fault with the device does not automatically switch As for when power is applied, it bothers me only quite small as I if I want to still can press the button.
The size of the Orbsmarts is very small, it is not as bulky as the NUC, although the NUC is also very small.
From me a clear recommendation, which is no longer used NUC and XBMC on the NAS was also disabled!
