Customer Review

Equal first I beg your indulgence, I did not know the group + now therefore no comparisons come by Vorwerk. What comes to my ears with this album, I describe as "good folk", with the almost universally existing Irish background. Not so purist as the early Dubliners but not as rock 'n rolly as the Pogues. The pages are booming, electrical instruments are not found on this record, instead rather finely recorded. Comparisons are one thing, but who wants to be guided, the were "Levellers" (the acoustic) "Men They couldn`t hang" folky "Waterboys" and called ne pinch "Oyster Band". Technically great, well audible, barely oblique, with a singer who makes a good impression in every pub with no beer blissfully drifting ;-). Some pieces (Vermillion River) are somewhere in the singer-songwriter area. I like that. A great discovery for me.

PS: Of course I have now reingehört times in the previous album. Since the spirits are divorced in the evaluation. From fresh, electrical Pubmusik (already towards Pogues, almost always with pace) to this folk album. I like it ... see previous ;-)
