Brendel spielt Beethoven (CD)

Customer Review

Look, I go right. To say affirmative. There are three waves in Brendel: debut (originally on Vox), then the 70, then the last 80 years etc. His first full-Vox (for I also understand his Schubert, is exactly the same) were already superb, this is my opinion and I share it while holding it. But it is even better in its second wave, a little behind on the latest. Beethoven therefore, also to Schubert, which must also have this set: ASIN: B001BNQJDC (7 CD to just over 20 euros!). Only flaw of these reissues, the "major" publisher, as they say, now mixing and either modifies its brands, like that, for free, without any basis, for the pleasure of juggling and paumer old lovers (encouraging unnecessarily duplicate purchase?), including stamping Decca stuff formerly Philips. As for Beethoven Gulda (one of its integrals), for example, and it sometimes becomes the ink bottle ... PS Note that this case had already previously released on CD (purchased by me in 1986, bigre almost thirty years now, and it was Philips, not the so-called Decca!), obviously a lot more expensive, and that I had to renoulever by it because the disks were completely, as chemically degraded (and on those old cabinets, too unknown that must be removed immediately within these totally unnecessary large foam pads, which end up turning too, disintegrate finally totally sticking to discs, irrecoverable cata! the worse for that, it is the old DG sets).
