Much commanded omitted much

First: For me there is no artist on this planet, which was better, has reached more, captivated me more and today continues to sensation, like Michael Jackson. His music led me to make music. Accordingly, any publication, regardless of whether "Greatest Hits" or anything else, always something special for me!
Especially here now heavily discussed "Ultimate Collection" is not only externally a piece of history in my MJ-corner, but also musically of course a revelation. 4 CD's with a total of 57 tracks (one still had any can populate a), a concert DVD with 16 [now also published individually!]. Between them previously unreleased 12 demos and loose as many rarities. The fan heart beats here through the roof, the desire for "more" is breastfed. The beautiful booklet sets since it another.
On the other hand one should nevertheless not be missed in my opinion, this collection easily 5 star, because ... if we take a step back even from this sensation of the new songs, but falls so good capacity. As already mentioned, are missing "Earth Song" and "They do not care about us" - hello?!? 2 songs that were number 1 in Germany are not in a ULTIMATE COLLECTION. Is my super perplexed and actually unforgivable. However, it does not remain there. Here is a list of singles that are still not available where I really wonder why:

- "Rockin 'Robin" from the album "Got To Be There": Should on Disc 1 are placed between "Got to Be There" and "I Wanna Be Where You Are". This waiver is still tolerated.

Should be placed in front of "PYT", which is available only as a demo version: "Human Nature" from "Thriller" -. Very good idea for fans who mistake for someone who wants to work as a whole.

- "Say Say Say", a duet with Paul McCartney: Although "The Girl Is Mine" exists, would be "Say, Say, Say" to represent rather been than some others that are to be found here, at least it was in the US 1St Place.

- "We are the world" Studio Version: OK, demo exists, but why not this gigantic piece of music in the original with the stars of the 80's? Was also only for years the most successful single ever ...

- "Another Part Of Me", "Liberian Girl", "Leave Me Alone": All singles from the "Bad" era, good commercial success. Absence therefore on Disc 3

- "Will You Be There", "Heal the world", "In The Closet", "Give in to me", "Gone Too Soon", "Who is it" (Studio Version): only 3 of 9 almost entirely very successful singles are zufinden of "Dangerous" on the Ultimate. Why suddenly a remix was made "Who is it", also leaves a question mark in the space available.

- "Whatzupwitu", a duet with Eddie Murphy: Fiel commercially totally, but has been a pretty funny idea.

- "Scream", a duet with Janet Jackson: A real shame! Was a big hit and brought the most expensive music video of all time with them. Everybody knows ...

- "Earth Song", "They do not care about us": Understands probably really nobody.

- "Why", a duet with 3T Michael Jackson supportete a while his nephew, the 3 members of "3T" and made, among other things with them this very poignant soul ballad.

- "HIStory" (Tony Moran Remix), "Ghosts": Two representatives of "Blood on the Dancefloor" -Remixalbums to which it also gave videos and also were able to book decent chart places.

- "Cry": second single from "Invincible" release

- "One More Chance": last single release before publication this box. All-new song, written by R. Kelly

Thus, it should be noted that, no matter from which point of view you see this box, you are not completely controlled. If you want to MJ's life work together in a box have, you can hardly expect rarities or demos, but would prefer all singles combined with maybe 2-3 exceptions. On the other hand as a veritable fan you have here now for the umpteenth time songs like "Billie Jean" are in CD version right (I have him now already on 9 different CD's) and would have one or two far from over with Pure demo or rarities CD's can begin what for a lower price.

Conclusion: The name "Ultimate Collection" is not justified! Merge MJ's oeuvre is here indeed in the right direction, but was not observed and implemented sufficiently intense. They wanted to use many different levels (chronology, fan heart and "Newcomers"), but not really brought to an end. If someday again a complete Single Collection that no abridged versions includes (---> see "The Essential"), not only the No. 1 singles represents (---> "Number Ones"), the chronology maintains (- - has> "HIStory", CD1) and perhaps a fancy book and a few rarities to offer (---> "The Ultimate Collection"), I will definitely give it 5 stars! Even on a full "Video Collection" wait a lot of fans. Until then, you have probably already exists still switch between these 4 versions to enjoy the perfect enjoyment of the "King of Pop"!
