Support of Peter has also brought on board: we would firstly the currently busy Graham Coxon, with Blur reunion and still may celebrate his new solo album in the summer before, then a few old Babyshambles colleagues and "Sheepskin Tearaway" Doherty is supported by the Scottish Dot Allison. Together all these people have recorded twelve songs under the direction of The Smith-producer Stephen Street, which is not so easily sorting into a genre. Strings, Piano, Keyboards, distorted guitars; to hear everything. Blues, Singer-Songwriter, Folk, Jazz; everything therewith.
I am told that the majority of the songs available from Pete (r) is already known from acoustic sets and previous (unofficial) and the new recordings thus virtually only an infusion for die-hard fans. But but I want to get rid of a few positive words in conclusion, because "Grace / Wastelands" has become a very good album. No song falls really negative from the Gesamtkunstwerk out, while standing out individual highlights. The powerful ballad "A Little Death Around The Eyes" and the Jazz Tour "Sweet By And By" for example. Would that these musical highlights found in the tabloid leaves this world hardly mentioned, is sad enough. So should at least give Peter a chance the music lover. He deserves it.
