Customer Review

In 1979 I was infected with the virus panic when a concert staged by Peter Zadek Lindenberg Tour televised wurde- a feast for eyes and ears! The entire family was deployed panic: Elli Pyrelli, Rudi Perplexed, Jonny Controlletti, Ole Penguin .... On stage naked girls sprawled for the song "Reeperbahn" on a large Peepshow hub plus a completely drowned verausgabender Udo Lindenberg, struggling with his impugned vocal chords, almost in their own sweat. In leather pants and tailcoat, a really cool outfit! The Panikorchester gave everything with obvious joy and the legendary Eric Burdon delivered with Udo no duet, no be a duel with Burdon's Song "We've gotta get out of this place," said Udo managed eingedeutschtes "Damn it, we need to get out of the filth! " hurled. An added vocally / artistic unequal duel, because Eric Burdon proved that he still has an incomparable white blues voice (Hear yourself!).
Burdon had it easier to shine next to larger vocal talent with 2 songs, while Udo holds a real mammoth program of about 2.5 hours.

The highlights of this tour and the last year can be found on this double CD and the atmosphere described by me is perfectly captured here. Udo's great creative period of the 70's was crowned with this live album. The up to now played at every concert song "Honky Tonky Show" and "Candy Jane" get next "Andrea Doria" and "Reeperbahn" the hall boil. The members of the "panic Family" celebrated appropriately with a medley of songs appropriate. So here come the rather quiet / more thoughtful songs like "There was so much going on," "She's 40", "My first love" or "So what" beneficial to the fore. Natural pearls and songs that found today far too little attention. These are no songs to sing along to all -gröhlen let alone, but also the total audience noise was too much suppressed by the sound engineer.

The only weak song on this double CD is "Cowboy" lyrically ("Yippiejahee") and musically uninspired, but that can get over really.
Too bad that on this remastered (not so much the sound quality is improved) edition no bonus tracks are included. Telefunken would both tours actually have a lot more material! I also want a DVD I eagerly! The booklet is far too short for my taste.
Nevertheless, full 5 stars. Not only for Lindi fans a milestone!
