For about 3 months I'm looking for a replacement or after an increase to my D 300, which I have purchased second-hand. Why am I looking at? Probably fueled by advertising and reading test reports. Conclusion: I have not been able to find. So I besinnte me on what I was doing and suddenly a light on: The camera can be so much that it takes more months until I can reach their full potential. Technically they no longer may be quite up to date, but this is only on paper. ISO above 1600? Does it have to be at all, if you have good optics? You get the feeling the whole world photographed only at night. Everything else is to accomplish wonderful with this camera. Scene Modes not needed, but I can even configure anything to the last detail. Feel: Who held time in hand, knows what haptic means. It is well balanced, stable and now despite their Geichts my Always-In-Camera - simply because it is robust. I grab me and throw it on the car's back seat. That may not have been a technical review - but an emotional. And that's what this camera triggers.
Although I own more than a year, I work my way now properly clean and discover new opportunities daily. You will feel safe now even accompany a while ... maybe to the D400, which probably will never come.
