Atlantis: The Lost Empire (Audio CD)

Customer Review

After "Dinosaur" Howard also set to music this Disney movie. "Atlantis" was impressive from the optic ago by the story but just average ... But the music also drew my attention to the film. Howard understands it here to create a wonderful, colorful and harmonious score that well accompanies the already crazy and spectacular adventure. And who knows some works of the master who will know that he never can do what is wrong with this man.

Introduced the CD by the nice, but flatly Popgedudel "Where The Dream Takes You", which is actually rather inappropriate.
But after that begins the great score of Howard. This begins with the over door moderate "The Submarine". Here we show the composer what he can offer everything in his music. The first half of the soundtrack is rather little overexcited. Much Slapstickuntemalung, but the fun and fits well into a Disney adventure. There is much music for the adventure trip to Atlantis, I will mention only "The Leviathan". In the second half the music changes very nice in a rather exotic and magical way. This is also the choir begins to show what he's got. Especially "The City of Atlantis", "Touring The City" or "The Crystal Chamber" are those soft pieces. Dramatic and full of action it goes in "Fireflies" and "Just Do It" to business.
An outstanding variety of topics, like "Dinosaur" is not to be expected here. While there are reasons for Milo and Kida and the main theme and they are also very beautiful, but can not get to the quality of "Dinosaur".
Still has "Atlantis" plenty of variety and a colorful and beautiful music, which is definitely a nice diversion for an hour.

No masterpiece, but very good quality. "Atlantis" is not just a soundtrack for Howard fans ... who liked the movie, you will love it!
